Thumbnails for Every Park on the Planet

Coaster Studios shoots travel series at theme parks across the globe. Coastin' Down Under, Coastin' Thru Asia, Coastin' the Desert, four seasons of Coastin' Thru Europe. Each series follows the crew as they hit every major park in a region, and each one needed a thumbnail set that felt distinct but still part of the same channel.

Theme parks are a genuine hobby of mine, so this was one of those projects where the passion came built in. I worked directly with Taylor, the channel owner, on every thumbnail. The brief was always the same: make it pop in a YouTube feed, make it match the series, and don't sacrifice one for the other. A thumbnail that gets clicks but looks out of place isn't doing its job. One that's pretty but invisible to the algorithm isn't either.

What made this work was consistency within each series and variety across them. The Coastin' Thru Europe set has a completely different energy than Coastin' the Desert, but they're clearly from the same channel. That balance took a lot of iteration, and Taylor was a great collaborator on dialing it in.
